What House of Loops is

House of Loops is a free community for people who build automations and want them to keep working after launch. It covers n8n, Make, Zapier, and the AI agent patterns that sit on top of them. The community lives on Skool; this site holds the public guides, comparisons, and the tool directory.

Who runs it

I build the unglamorous side of software for a living: the workflows that move data between systems, the automations that run at 3 a.m., and the AI agents that have to behave when someone's revenue depends on them. Through Rainman Design I do that for businesses, mostly with n8n, self-hosted infrastructure on Docker and cloud platforms, and LLM integrations.

I also ship my own products, from a self-hosted restreaming platform to payment-recovery tooling and open-source nodes for n8n, so I run into the same walls members do. The templates and guides here are what survived contact with production: what held up, what broke, and what I would do differently.

How it works

  1. Read a guide here, starting with The n8n self-hosting guide.
  2. Join the community on Skool and post what you are building or what broke.
  3. Get the weekly email with one new template and the reasoning behind it.

Is it free?

Yes. The community, the guides, and the newsletter are free. If a paid tier ever exists, it will be announced inside the community first, and the free tier will keep what it has.
